(a little fyi, Connie and Sheila were checking out the New York City Culinary Scene last week)
Well, I hear I missed the wedding reception of the year! It had a country western theme, live music, 3 food stations and a d.j.. Connie Dover played 2 sets in the Tuscan kitchen for 45 people. Their tables were covered with picnic checked tablecloths of different colors. The center pieces consisted of yellow roses, daisies and baby’s breath arranged by our own Marilee.
The large Tuscan table was in the Sonoma room. It held the wedding cake, dessert buffet and coffee bar. Our favorite jokester, Anita, taking the western theme into consideration, labeled the decaffeinated coffee “de-calf”. J The teaching island in the Santa Fe kitchen was the home of the pasta buffet and the small wooden table held the savory appetizers. Marilee also put together large floral arrangements for the buffet tables.
At the end of the evening 11 lucky guests were given the centerpieces to take home and, hopefully, a good impression of the Culinary Center.
