Leighana Williams Is Back!
We’re delighted to welcome Leighana Williams back to our kitchens! Leaighana is a passionate cake artist and baker who has worked with some of the best pastry chefs in the country. She studied art at Kansas State University, and then spent the next decade cultivating her unique pastry technique and style. After several years in San Francisco and Minneapolis, she came back home to Kansas City to put down roots and raise a family.
Leighana started teaching at The Culinary Center of Kansas City in 2017. She soon developed a devoted following of people who loved her technical know-how and warm, effusive style. After a break in teaching, she is back with us! Leighana’s first class, “Cake Decorating 101,” is on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026. She has some wonderful upcoming classes in October and November 2026, including Italian pastries, French tarts, and advanced cake decorating! You can find all her classes here.
