Tips for passing BS Midway - Mission: "Wildcats"

You go a roundabout way (route) to keep your distance from enemy planes, especially fighters "Zero". You may end up accompanying your bombers with a flight of "Wildcats" (choose such an incomplete one). At the same time, at the very beginning of the mission, you must switch to the shipyard and launch two Elco class patrol boats. Send as southwest of the island, to (2)locations, with the task of preparing a warm welcome ceremony for enemy transport ships that you will see there at the last stage of the gameplay. Of course, your fighters are constantly shooting down Japanese planes approaching the island. Do not pursue the enemy who managed to drop their bombs, it is better to concentrate on those enemies who are approaching at the moment and still have their deadly cargo, because they can still damage your airfield.

Finally, you will repel this first air strike. However, in a moment you will see this long-awaited Japanese cargo convoy heading to the island from the southwest direction. This convoy consists of several transport vessels accompanied by two destroyers. Your next task is to sink the Japanese transport ships (2), all of them. If you followed my instructions, then your two Elco PT boats are already waiting for these Japanese. Try to first send these two destroyers to the bottom by getting as close to them as possible and firing two torpedoes on the boards of each of them. This may be a problem for you due to the heavy AA fire of enemy ships defending themselves, but trust me: this task is doable. Shoot the rest of your torpedo into the sides (sides) of the cargo ships - two torpedoes should sink each of these ships.

However, if your PT boats have messed up their work, you can also attack enemy ships with Wildcat fighters armed with extra bombs - use bombs against destroyers, because cargo ships can be destroyed even when firing machine guns (shoot at their decks), or if the shipyard is still functioning, You can send two Catalina seaplanes with torpedoes here to destroy these enemy destroyers. Destroy all transport ships (2)using "Wildcats", as I said, and their machine guns or bombs, if you still have them. When diving to the target and shooting at it, reduce the flight speed and try to stay above it as long as possible, because now you need a lot of bullets to sink it - these are not such weak cargo ships that you played with earlier, At some point Japanese transports will start launching small landing boats, fully loaded with troops wanting to get to Midway Island. Destroy these boats quickly by firing at them with your "wildcats" (if you still have patrol boats, they are also good at burning these enemy units), but remember that the boats appear until you sink the mother ships, I mean transports. So focus on the cargo ships.on my map you will see the following enemy marked (3): two aircraft carriers accompanied by three destroyers. These forces are also floating towards your Midway.
