It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas
here in Downtown Overland Park.Â
We are starting our
2016 Holiday Adoption Program,
and we’d love to fill the donation boxes
throughout the community!
Help us as we gather items for the kids and families at Growing Futures Early Education Center on Santa Fe Drive (growingfutureseec.org), the beneficiary of the Mayor’s Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony on Nov. 18 at Local Life. There are donation boxes in stores throughout the Downtown OP area where you can bring items from their wish list. Or you can drop off your items at the Downtown OP Partnership office on 79th Street.
Here are some things that would be greatly appreciated:
- Board or Preschool Books
- Preschool-Appropriate Games (non-battery operated)
- Building Blocks or Stacking Toys
- Drawing Tablet and Crayons
- Hat & Mitten Sets
- Mid-Size Balls
- Healthy Snacks
- School Supplies
- Multi-pack of Toilet Paper
- Laundry Detergent (dye/perfume-free)
- Sturdy Laundry Basket
- $25 Gift Card (Walmart, grocery stores, Quik Trip)
- Wrapping Paper, Scissors and Tape
Start your holiday season with a nice, fuzzy feeling on the inside – shop for those in need and drop your donations by The Culinary Center of Kansas City. We’ll handle the rest.
