Chef Laura Thomsen
Our Goddess of Good Eats here at The Culinary Center of Kansas City is a woman who goes by the name of Elle Ti (a fancier way to say LT – there was already another Laura in the office!)
Her connection to the culinary world started early in life. As a young child, Elle Ti can remember delivering peanut butter sandwiches on homemade banana bread with coffee to her father while he worked in the farm field. For seventeen years, she demonstrated her love of food by catering church functions and youth group activities. Elle Ti is famous among coworkers for constantly supplying the office with her delicious creations.
Elle Ti has had a long and successful culinary career and has quite an impressive background, working at New Century Catering, Dean and Deluca, The New Theatre Restaurant, Union Station, The Rainbow Freedom School and Unity Village before joining our CCKC family in 2014. Here she teaches culinary classes, manages the pantry and inventory, creates menu for private events and Tuesday Lunch, and cooks and bakes her way into the hearts (and stomachs!) of us all.
