If you weren’t at The Culinary Center of Kansas City last Saturday, you missed a great time. After a morning Fiddle Workshop held by master fiddler Betse Ellis, we opened up our Santa Fe kitchen to the public for a folk jam session. More than a dozen musicians joined the circle with their fiddles, ukulele, guitar, bass, harpsichord and other instruments to make some great music together. Others came to watch, listen and eat a classic Kansas City BBQ lunch of pulled pork, coleslaw, baked beans and brownies.
Amazing magic came from this group of musicians!
Long story short, we all had a really fun time, so we’re going to do it again. Join us Saturday, May 7 for another Kitchen Sessions folk jam at The Culinary Center from 1:30-3;30. It’s free to the public. Come play or come listen, just plan on coming!
