We are happy to introduce you to the newest instructor at The Culinary Center of Kansas City, Chef Natasha Goellner, founder of Natasha’s Mulberry & Mott. This talented pastry chef will be kicking off her CCKC class schedule with an ‘Art of the French Macaron’ class on Sunday, November 24, so click to sign up!
After a stint at the Kansas City Art Institute, Natasha graduated from The French Culinary Institute (now the International Culinary Center) in New York City in 2004. With her Grand Diplome in hand, she founded her retail pastry shop, Natasha’s Mulberry & Mott, on the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City in 2005.
Her pastries have been featured in both the Williams-Sonoma and Dean and Deluca catalogues. Her flavorful French macarons were a best -seller in the Kansas City Dean and Deluca store, and some of her products were sold at all of their stores nationwide.
Her desserts and ice cream have been on the menu in some of the most highly acclaimed restaurants in Kansas City. When chefs need a killer dessert for a farm-to-table dinner or dessert for 450 people at a celebrity chef dinner, Natasha is the pastry chef they want by their side.
Natasha’s wedding cakes have been featured in magazines and blogs for their artistry, as well as her flavors, which have been described as ‘like heaven with icing.”
After 14 years of running Natasha’s Mulberry & Mott and Cirque du Sucre, Natasha recently embarked on a new adventure. She is using her skills and passion for dessert as Executive Pastry Chef, working with her brother Nick Goellner’s exceptionally talented team, at the James Beard-nominated restaurant, The Antler Room.
We’re excited to have Chef Natasha on our talented team of culinary instructors. Look for more baking and pastry classes from her in 2020. We’re finalizing details and they’ll be online soon!
